Anyone else have this problem at their flat? These are very small bug like ( about the size of this dot ( . )) They move slowly and are mostly on ceiling and walls.
Does anyone know what they are?

I'm pretty sure they are book lice. Quite common in HK, exist due to the humidity + mold, feeds on mold. They're harmless but annoying when you see them.

Just googled book lice but the description I got didn't match the one on my walls. According to the websits book lice are flesh-colored insects mine are black.

Hmm, if they're black, then they're not book lice as you mentioned. Not sure what they are then.

sounds like your wall is damp and these creatures are living on dampness. I would kill the insects using insect spray, bleach the area with 1/3 bleach and water mix. then use the aircon, and put a dehumider in the room with the door closed to remove the dampness.

they are book lice if they don't seem to be moving at all. if they seem to "jump"- they are springtails.
fumigators and insect repellents are short term solutions because they can return .
switch on the dehumidifiers to remove dampness in your flat.
see if they have gotten into your clothes and sheets by shaking them. sometimes they cant be seen by the naked eye.
do observe where they are coming out from, and if you think there is an infestation, better let a pest company deal with them

Sounds like Thunderbugs (Thrips) which quite often are seen under the glass of pictures when they get damp.
Wiz Bang is correct. Get rid of dampness and then wash wall and ceiling with hot bleach solution as Crystal suggests.

I tried using my finger and then a wet paper towel, but it was taking a long time. Since, I've been using a lint roller to get pick them off the wall. Still leaves a small stain mark on the wall though.

Try a mixing bleach with water, putting a washcloth in it and wiping the walls. If they are feeding on dampness, then they are feeding on mold spores. Good luck!
