My landlord says that she cannot find any available handyman that is why she cannot fix a long list of things for 3 months now! We cannot use the showers, no hot water, etc it is outragous by now, she also does not accept me to have it foxed and deduct it from the monhly rent according to our Rental Agreement. I've thought that I can send some phone numbers to her to accelerate the process. Anyone can reccomend a cheap repairman, handyman? thanks you all in advance for the help, much appreciated!

Thank You, I have checked that already and also found a lot in DOllarsaver, but I wish someone can recommend a handyone to me, such that he/she used before because there are so many listed with all sorts of expertise and pricing, I would trust someone who has been tried by one of You. I do not need someone expert like a locksmith rather a general repairman, handyman. In those list there are companies for plumbing , painting etc. I need someone who can fix dangling light , put the showerheads back on, fix the heater, my husband could do all these if he were a handyman, but he is not if you know what I mean..

No handyman available in HK? Surely you're not believing all this c#@p...
If she is clearly in breach of the rental agreement (and seeing how you don't even have hot water, I really think she is), then just stop paying the rent until she gets everything fixed. Tell her you'll have a solicitor come and attest the situation and breach of contract. And if it's that bad, then it probably wouldn't hurt to go talk to one anyway.
As long as you keep paying the rent, she'll happily make you wait. Empathy is not a widespread quality amongst landlords here.
I'd go nuts without a shower for even a couple of days.

I would suggest that you serve her notice of withholding half the rent until the long list are done. Pour some sentiments in there in the letter of how a poor quality of life resulted with no hot water. (Frankly, how do you cope ?!). SEND IT BY REGISTERED MAIL. In the event she goes to Small Claims Court on you, this is your defense.
You have to give her some notice to take action. 1 week or so.

I actually agree with Ed. It is all too easy to slander someone who you (and maybe very honestly so) feel that the work was not up to your standard on an anonymous site like this. Perhaps if you left your home address and mobile number we could call you and find out, but I doubt you would do this. Anonymous sites must have rules.
Some terrible person could get on this site and slander someone else and cause their business to suffer even though there was not a problem. So, to be fair to all, you cannot mention bad service or peoples name.
Who knows you might be in competition with me and you just want to run my business down with lies and innuendos. One rule fits all.

thank you very much for the replies, She has arrived today with a handyman, one of the ones I recommended to her thanks to you and changed the heater, no need to have a shower in cold water in longer, huh...
