Hello,

I am currently moving from the United States to Hong Kong. But because of the work I do ( Construction ) I was wondering if there was a website to where I could look for work Vans and utility Vans for sale in Hong Kong. I have looked but cant find a website for it. If anyone can help I would appreciate it !

Thank you

Joseph

Problem with Van's Utes is that there is a good demand for them so few are on the second hand market. The few that do come onto the market are Euro 3 or below. The Govt will be phasing these out in the next few years and you will likely take a big hit. A 10 years old mid sized car will set you back $30-40K tops a 10 yrs old Van even though it is pre Euro or Euro 3 will still set you back $70-80K if the condition is good Utes can go for over $100k. When the Govt introduces the cuts to pre Euro and Euro 3 there will be heavier annual license for these vehicles and cash back insentives to scrap them and replace them with a Euro 5 or better. So you are probably best buying a new one Utes are about $300k and vans about teh same. Hire Purchase over 5 years will cost you about $7k/month insurance about $10k (full comprehensive as required by HP) and annual license $2400/ last year it was free as the Govt wanted to help the grass roots. Hope that gives you some ideas to think about.

Another point to look out for is that a Van or Ute will require a Light Goods vehicle license to drive it. You may not be able to convert your overseas car license to a LGV license here
