I hope this is not seen as silly but because of space constraints it has been suggested that I keep the washing machine on the terrace which is covered. However, on doing so I find that the washing machine does not work off and on. I have been informed now that it is because of the humidity. Is there a way I can leave the washing machine there and try to reduce the problems now faced? It's pointless using a de-humidifier there as other than a roof and a brick wall at the back and side of the machine, the front is open.
Any suggestions/ advice please.
Thank you.

You sure these isn't anything wrong with your washing machine? We did the same thing a few weeks ago when we moved to our new place. We moved both the washing machine and dryer to the back balcony but had a covering made to keep it out of the elements since there is no roof. Both works just fine. I seriously don't think it has anything to do with the humidity. Maybe there is something wrong with the outlet in your balcony?

I'm with tly on this one. At certain buildings most washing machines are on balconies without issues.
