is there a svc like netflix available in hk? netflix doesn't work outside of america (which i find quite silly - i understand hulu not working, but there's no such syndication issues for netflix). would like to have a reliable repository of movies, as the movie rental store on my street (robinson rd.) is not very good, and doesn't have a lot of the movies that i want.

well, itunes if it has movies is slightly different. i don't use itunes other than to download free podcasts, but don't you have to pay for each specific movie/tv show that you download? whereas w/ netflix, you pay only usd7.99/month, and you have access to any movie you want.

Basically you purchase it as a service. There are also free providers. I don't use a VPN myself but a google search found me some articles and reviews you can read.

I have heard warnings that if you use a VPN service it opens your confidential details for easy access and is a hackers delight.
It was suggested to me that if I used a VPN (which I don't) that I should log out of it before accessing banking & credit card sites.
Any tecky out there who (really) knows the answer to this?
