There is a 'real' butcher in Sai Kung Town - 'Butcher King' - at right angles to Standard Chartered Bank near the 'Temple Car Park'. They also stock many products you won't find in the ''usual' major super market chain stores we have in SK as in other parts of HK . I think however you are possibly trying to track down the 'frozen imported meats/fish co' in the old Sai Kung Town Alleys. Whilst I have purchased food from them over the years, I'm afraid can't recall their name, however they are with a little patience easy to find. Wander into the old town part of SK Town ( which has so much character & is often overlooked), down the pathway from 'Steamers Bar' and they are located in the very small winding 'pedestrian only' paths - wish I could give you a better sense of direction, however you'll easily recognise them as they have an open frontage with big stainless steeel freezers on show. Good Luck

I reckon TC Foods in Hang Hau village stocks the best fresh and frozen Aussie and US meat in the area

"Appetito" has gone... Expanding on Lulux directions. Take the path on the RHS of Steamers and the alley is the first on your left. There are 2 "shops" there. We use the first one. Theu have a list in English of what they have and when you pick it they then call the office to get the price. Never had anything bad out of the first shop you come to there.

dont use butcher kink - use the frozen meat place mentioned by lulux. Confirmed - walk down the lane with steamers on your left and then take the first left - round the corner and you will see 2 open fronted 'shops' with freezers inside. Inbetween them is a set of stairs leading up to an office where the owner or her son (i think) speaks partial english.
When you are there take a copy of the product list (they only have 1 copy so you need to wander over to the stationary shop in the square to get it photo copied) so that next time you can just order over the phone (the deliver daily to HK Island).

The verdict: Sensational! We cut the piece into about 14 steaks, and 2 roasts. Had the roast and it was one of the best we've ever had. I got the list from them (took pics on my iphone) and will be getting delivery now!!! Thanks everyone.

Just wanted to give everyone and update. We have just had a huge delivery of meat from the Sai Kung butcher (Shek Kee Frozen Meat, ph: 2792 0503), 5kg of canadian bacon, 12 kg of US angus rib eye beef, 7 kg of us beef mince, 2 whole chickens, 6kg us chicken breast, 6.5kg lamb leg and 3.2 kg lamb racks and the cost came out at $2500 hkd. I did some checking and that's about 1/3 of Australian supermarket prices and about a 1/5 of Hong Kong supermarkets. You can fax them an order on 2792 1995. You can't get small quantities, but it's easy to wrap and freeze.
