My daughter was born almost a month ago and we are US citizens. I heard the BCG vaccine for TB could affect US border entry and we are travelling to the US this Dec and will eventually move back there hopefully in the next 12-18 months. Should we have the vaccine or continue to decline it? I checked with the US consulate and the person who answered the line to American citizens services (where we got baby's passport) did not know. I know it affects US green card holders or adjustment of status applicants but not sure if this affects US citizens.

I've never heard of a potential problem with US border entry. Both of our children (now 11 and 8) were have received the BCG vaccination.
Just googled the BCG and found a CDC fact sheet.

Both of my kids have had it & we've also never had any problems with entry/exit. Later on, there may be some issues as BCG can cause a false positive reaction for TB skin prick test, but if you remind your pediatrician beforehand that your kid has had BCG vax that should circumvent the issue. Much better than contracting TB which is far more prevalent is SE Asia than in the US.

"Should we have the vaccine or continue to decline it?"
TB is bacteria caused. In quantity, vitamin C kills viruses and bacteria http://www.doctoryourself.com/vitaminc.html . People have the idea that "germs", either bacteria or viruses, are the primary cause of disease. This is not true, here's a good article about that ( http://www.doctoryourself.com/germs.html )
As for the vaccine ..... well, you do know they are dangerous, yes? http://www.activistpost.com/2011/08/vaccines-are-dangerous-government-says.html

Exyogi, I have some questions for you.
1) Are you a sales rep selling vitamin C?
2) Do you own or run a company that sells vitamin C?
3) Why are you pushing vitamin C in so many forums, what is the benefit to you?
4) Has any of these articles and websites listed the dangers of high dose vitamin C?
No? What a surprise!

"1) Are you a sales rep selling vitamin C?"
No
"2) Do you own or run a company that sells vitamin C?"
No
"3) Why are you pushing vitamin C in so many forums ..."
I didn't realize that passing along information about a safe, effective, natural, inexpensive, item to someone asking for advice about a health problem constituted "pushing". What is your suggestion for me to avoid this "pushing"?
"3) .... what is the benefit to you?"
It's exactly the same benefit that everyone else gets when they offer advice on this forum ..... nothing.
"4) Has any of these articles and websites listed the dangers of high dose vitamin C?"
Yes, and the research shows there are no dangers of high dosage vitamin c. Here's a few articles ...
