Hi, I am thinking of renting a place in Stanley but am worried about the transport. I know there are buses into town from the terminus. What about taxis - easy to get throughout the day, including early morning?

When I lived in Stanley I used to take the bus in ... since the terminus is there I could always get a seat

There is no MTR, but there are many bus routes from Stanley to various parts of Hong Kong (Admiralty, CausewayBay, Wanchai, Central, Chai Wan, Aberdeen etc)
There is also a round the clock minibus service to CausewayBay.
Getting taxis in Stanley is similar to getting taxis say in Wanchai or Causeway Bay. There will be peak periods when you will need to wait a bit longer, or phone up a cab company - but that is the same all over Hong Kong.
