The Transport Dept's web page says that after 6 years after the year of manufature, a car needs to be inspected for road worthiness. Does that mean a car manufactured in 1999 need to be inspected now or in a year?

Your car needs inspection only next year. Mine is a 1998 car and needs inspection this year. There are many places that you can go to for the inspection. Not sure if you can download the list from their website but you can get it at their office.

DCh will do it for around 550 cash only. Some mechanics will do it for you and then the shebang will go to about 3000 - including the "service" etc. It always seems to come to the magic figure.

The inspection can only be done at specified places so best to get the list from transport dept.
