Hello,
We are day one with a domestic helper with driver duties. We would not like to pay with gas with cash, but we haven't found a card that only works for gas. What methods have any fellow asiaxpaters used to managed having their drivers pay for gas? I should note that I am very busy, so I am not sure I am up to monitoring a credit card that could be used anywhere.

Shell or Esso Gas stations have cash coupons. Try those.

In Caltex you can get a loyalty card that is linked to your plate and credit card. Like a membership card. Therefore you can only use it at caltex and only if the card matches the license plate. Also give you a few dollars off per liter.

I am a driver my self and we use the the same method that SHTAM208 mentioned .. Will get some cool discounts some times too !

Thanks for the feedback. Shtam208 and Ku Shan, can you provide a bit of clarification: Do you mean the driver does not need to have my credit card, that the loyalty card can be used for payment, once it is connected to my credit card (and assuming the license plate matches)? Thanks again.

Yes you right ! driver needs to bring the loyality card and a pin number ( we use shell but i preffer to check other ststions too better choose one with lots of stations ) ....

Yup. aAll the driver needs is the membership card. Your credit card is linked to that membership card. So only gas charges goes on your credit card at the station. Nothing else.
