I want to give my almost 5 yo daughter pocket money because I want her to do more chores around the house (ie. clean up after herself basically and do as she's told!). I also want to teach her the value of money. If she earns enough, then she can buy some toys etc for herself.


Can anyone share their experience because I'm wondering how much money to pay her for chores and is it a daily rate if she completes all the chores I ask etc...

Thanks for your replies. Hopefully my daughter is just going thru a phase. She's naughty, whereas my younger one (almost 3) is quite well-behaved and I think she sees her big sister getting told off so she decides not to be naughty!


Maybe I just revive the rewards chart instead...
