Hello,
Purchased a queen bed and mattress and am having it moved within same neighborhood, only a few minutes drive, from a building with elevator to a second floor walk-up. Called some of the van services found through posts on this forum and the one available quoted $1000 because of the walk-up at destination.
Is that a reasonable charge? Location is Hong Kong Island.
Thanks for any help.

Way too much I think - try calling this number 2574 5745 and ask for Wendy. her English is good. Normally 2-300 for a truck plus an extra couple of hundred if you want them to help you move things.

2896 0411 - quoted me $150 from Macdonnell Road to Robinson Road with no extra help. $1000 is way too much

$1,000 is enough to buy a new Queen size bed!. It will depend on whether the destination involves carrying the bed on staircases and a bigger van is needed. It may be 500. Call 'Shing Kee" van service.

Agree $1000 is much too expensive. Shouldn't be more than 200 or 300hkd.
