Do serviced apartments offer babysitting services?

Depending on which serviced apartment you stay - Parkview for example, does have a baby sitting service. However, if you were to stay in Daisy Court, Mid Levels, they do not have that service. Rent a Mum is very expensive. As I recall, 4 years ago it was over $10 US an hour with a three hour minimum.

When we first moved to Hk we stayed for 3 months in the Newton Inn, Fortress Hill which is near North Point. We had a serviced apartment which was 1 bedroom, large lounge area and small kitchenette. We also took the adjoining room with an interconnecting door for my 4 year old daughter to use although there was a bed settee but felt we needed the extra space. We husband managed to negotiate a good rate with the hotel with some help from his chinese friend who lived nearby.


Fortress Hill/North Point is mainly chinese with only a few expats around but we enjoyed being around the locals and seeing how they live. Many shopkeepers & regularly in the market outside the hotel got used to seeing us everyday and would always smile and wave at us.


We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Newton Inn, the rooms were tidied every day, helpful staff and a nice pool to use during the warmer months on the top floor along with a small gym.


We used the hotel babysitter who spoke hardly any English but my daughter didnt seem to mind and in any case the Manager would pop in from time to time to check all was OK and would ring us if there were any problems - there never was!

By the way dont confuse the Newton Inn with the Newton Hotel which is located around the corner in Electric Road.
