You need to go to Facebook where there are two groups that register Hong Kong piano teachers, the Hong Kong Piano Teachers Association and Hong Kong Piano Teachers Circle.


Good piano teachers will be well qualified and you could ask if they have completed the CTABRSM, a professional development course run by the UK examining board ABRSM.


The best piano teachers take their own professional development seriously and will probably be members of e-musicmaestro, a UK website that shows piano teachers the best way to interpret and teach the pieces on the current examination syllabus. You will probably find that Hong Kong teachers who use it tend to follow best practice, since they have access to current music teaching and learning theory.
