any recommendations on good place to live in Beijing with 2 young kids?

What do you need/want? How do you feel about the subway or taxi-ing to places?
I'm happy where I am [Hui Long Guan] b/c I'm a 10 mintute walk with kids-in-tow from the subway and b/c the rent is lo-oo-ow.

we just moved recently (3 weeks ago...) with two small kids (1 and 3 years old). We found Seasons Park was nice for small kids. Than again it depends where they would go to kindergarten/school. a lot of families live around the airport area in compounds there. we are more the city people and choose Central park. And also it depends which community you are in such as english, german or....Come and move to Central Park!!! Cheers Nina

Central park is near by??? I went to house hunging before CNY, and I am quite confused, still. I am very city person, but most of my friends said for kids I should live the place near by airport. I am tired to think about it but I need to face it now. Would you mind provide me somemore info. or your agency... I wish we can have a playgroup in BJ after I move to there. Actually, my husband's office is in PCCW that building (Pacific Place department store), now we have a temp. apartment in Parkview for 1 year, but I need a bigger place then this one, otherwise the parkview has pretty view and quite convience. Do you have kid? any suggestion?

Hello! Our family is seriously considering a family move from the U.S. (Midwest region) to Beijing in the next 30-60 days. Former expats from my husband's company have mentioned living at Riverside Gardens, near the ISB school. All I know is that the Shunyi District is in the ISB school is in the northeast part of Beijing. We are a family of 4 that includes 2 boys (6- and 4-yrs old). We will be bringing our two dogs with us so we will need a house with a yard of some type. ANY responses with helpful housing or other information will be much appreciated.

We do live in Shunyi area, and actually the house here is big enough for 4 person and 2 dogs. Depends on how much budget and how big you want. There are ISB and WAB, two international schools.
