Just wondering if it's necessary to use special detergent for laundering baby clothes? I know it's available back at home but can't seem to find a brand here in HK. Any recommendations as to a brand and where to buy it? Thanks!

You don't need to use anything special unless your baby has sensitive skin or eczema as my does. If you need to you can use Persil Non Biological powder which is available in park n shop and wellcome usually.

You can buy baby clothes detergent at Park n Shop, can't remember the brand though. You can also get Pigeon brand from Bumps to Babes.

The brand is Vigor baby liquid detergent. It can be found at Park n Shop or Wellcome. There's a little bear on the label :) It's about $30

There is a brand beginning with F (Filetti?) which they have in PNS and it is stored with the baby products, not the other washing detergents. Agree persil non-bio is fine for most babies. If your baby really has a problem with skin sensitivity I would ask your doctor.

We use "Dreft", an American brand designed for babies (available at Gateway in Sheun Wan). It's an excellent detergent--it gets out stains, it rinses extremely well, it doesn't irritate baby's delicate skin. But I do think you can use most detergents--but set your washer to run two rinse cycles. It's the soap residue that's likely to cause problems.
