Ok so we've just arrived. Apartment has been settled and life's starting to quiet down after the move. Now for the important stuff - and I need your help:
1. Where do I see a game of rugby league
2. Where do I buy a meat pie
3. Does anyone know if I can get an X-Box chipped so it can play games purchased here
4. Doughnuts ... Do they sell them here?
Dont get me wrong - we are not a family of crap eating couch potatoes, we've been able to find the good fresh foods & restaurants, but there are the odd vices.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. Don't know don't follow footy, but I guess sports bars may show games, or check with the major cable companies.
2. You can't. Well Park'n'Shop used to stock poor version but have stopped. Olivers have suasage rolls that are hardly adequate but will work in a pinch.
3. Yes you can get your XBOX chipped. Check the top floor of the 298 Computer Centre on Hennessy Rd Wan Chai, or the Dragon centre at Sham Shiu Po.
4. I don't eat them, but I think I've seem some in Park'n'Shop have a look at your local one.

There have only been two postings on Rugby League in the last 5 months, yours and mine. As TC said there is unfortunately only one live game per week and a repeat of Friday nights game is played on Sat. Your hubby probably use to watch all the games live on Fox as I did and will no doubt be just as shattered as I was. As you will notice by one of the responses, even when you say rugby league over here, they still think you're talking about union, and don't even bother trying to call it FOOTY!
The following web sites will ease hubby's pain as it takes to long to get the paper versions over here.

Just for hubby's info, Souths flogged the Saints 30-6 tonight.
As of this year you can now sign up for the internet version of Big League for half the price of the mag. Hope this helps.

Guys thanks for the tremendous response. Rossbear - think you might be right... I do have an appreciation for the Ra Ra's so that might have to suffice. Saint - thanks very much for the websites - might keep me sane. Todge - thanks for the info - you & Miss D are invited around as soon as its chipped. As for pies & doughnuts ... Doh !!!
Look forward to meeting a few of you for some quite ales soon. Look for the Fatty Vautin look-a-like in Mes Amis Wanchai every Friday night.

If you want to get in with the 'rugby gurriers' in HK, it all happens at Devils Advocate, White Stag and Kangaroo Bar (underground beside White Stag). They're the places to find all your rugby enthuasists and meet the people if you want to get involved. Fri/Sat nights are THE nights. Notice the crowds on the street outside these pubs if there are any major matches being played.

if you wanna get your X-box chipped, best if you go to Wan Chai "Dong Fong 188" just around Wanchai MTR.. i'm not sure which street exactly but there you can find loads of cheap dvds and pirated video games.. the building has 2 floors up and you can find everything you want there with games, electronics etc.. good luck finding them :)
