Gold coast tomorrow

Hi yank, the Gold Coast is always a bit of a zoo on Sundays and public holidays, especially if the weather is good. The tourist coaches start pulling in at around 11am. However, that's also when all the festivities start, and the stalls open. If you're a visitor, there are more to see and do on a busy / crowded day, otherwise there's nothing much except the marina and the hotel.

You can go to the beach (pretty nice), shop at the Gold Coast Montmartre (an interesting street market of arts and crafts, but not 100% sure it'll be open tomorrow - usually just open Sat & Sun, but forgot if public holidays are included), dine al-fresco at the many restaurants and cafes there or visit the Gold Coast Hotel (once again, several restaurants to choose from). Places to eat? Hard to say, as everyone's taste-buds different, but I personally love the food at Chilli & Spice and the French Restaurant (name escapes my mind at the moment, but you can't miss it - has a French name). I also like the Tavern place at the hotel (sorry - can't remember the name either!). If you have kids, take them to the playground at the residential part (Phase II). My son loves the flying fox and the rope course behind the swimming pool. You can make a good family day out at the Gold Coast. Enjoy!

2 options:

1) Take the little red-top minibus from the front of Seaview Garden and gamble with your life (them red-top drivers are maniacs!!), but you get there directly.

2) Play it safe and go to Tuen Mun Town Centre and change to KMB 59X or 60X. The latter is from the bus terminus itself, whilst the 59X bus stop is on Tuen Mun Highway (not in the bus terminus - it's on the Waldorf Garden side).

Hope this helps.
