I have been looking for Indian yam / jimikand / suran in Hong Kong. Unfortunately I donot know what it looks like and how to identify it. Can anyone tell me how and where to find it? Infact I would also appreciate if I was told what it is called over here. I know it is available cause 5 months back I had accidentally bought it but I donot remember what it looked like since there is very little difference in kuza, taro and yam lookwise.

Yam - try Great, Oliver or Citysuper ?

Usually I go for the sweet potato, you can find usually in local wet market or supermarket. It is called "Farn Shu" in Cantonese. If you find potato, onion, usually they are there.

Saw some little one, looks nice, length of palm, a fews in pack of HK$20+ in Sogo supermarket.

Don't know what is kuza but taro/yam/potato/sweet potato looks quite difference.

I usually treat Yam & Sweet Potato in the smilar way, just go to the wet market / Parknshop which got those fresh section to ask for "farn shu" sweet potato, then you can find out if that is what you after.
