Which Maclaren stroller for a two year old?

We've had a Graco stroller for our son since birth but now that he's turned two, we find the bar at the front quite obstructive to him when he tries to climb in.

We want to get a Maclaren instead but would like to know what is good about them (as they are quite pricey), are they suitable for two year old, and how long can we use it for?

Also, does anyone have the Jeep brand stroller? We saw one in ToysRUS and it was considerably less expensive but seemed a bit small for our son. Does anyone have feedback on the Jeep strollers?

i just bought a maclaren "Quest" last week and we love it!!! our previous pram was very heavy and for a mother who often go out like me, it's difficult to get in and out of cab with it. with the maclaren quest, it is light ( only 5.5 kg) and simple to manipulate. however, it cannot go flat which is difficult for my 4 month old son when he is sleeping in the stroller. we are thinking of getting the maclaren xt techno now because it can go flat and it is only 1 kg heavier than the maclaren quest. i think maclaren is a good investment even though it is slightly more expensive.

I already bought two Maclaren strollers and each one broke within a few months (metal frame lost screws, suncover broke) .....we certainly didn't handle it too rough, but used it everyday...........in my opinion it is bad workmanship- I'll go for another brand this time around- Maclaren is no value for so much money

I've been using the Maclaren "Quest" as well since my son was 8 months old. He's now 21 months and 13 kg. We've had no problems with our stroller and love it. (I've had a bunch of other strollers previously and this is finally the "one".)

We have the Techno, it's still in great shape after two kids and a lots of use - rates highly with our family.

My Maclaren Techno has had over 4 years of very heavy use and is currently housing my third child. It doesn't lie fully flat, but that hasn't been a real problem. It will easily take a Buggy Board and folds quickly and easily for getting in the car/on the bus. Many of my friends bought cheaper strollers and most have had to replace them after a couple of years, but my Maclaren is still going strong. So although it was a lot more expensive than most other strollers, it's been an excellent investment and well worth it.

We're on our second Maclaren for our 2 1/2 year old son. The first one was a Quest which was looking old and mouldy, we didn't look after it that well, and living in the outlying island really gave it a bashing. Our second Techno, which is less than a year old, has had a few things wrong with it, including the clip that holds it together. The cover is also looking a bit worse for wear. Again, that may be because we live up a very steep hill with very rough terrain, but I'm hoping Maclaren will fix it (they have a small rep. office here and the staff has been very friendly so far) and we'll continue to get years of use out of it for the next addition to the family. Aside from the problems above we've been really happy with it, and it's been fabulously comfortable for our son from the word go.

If it's less than a year old it should still be under warranty. I had to have a wheel replaced (damaged by airline) and they took care of it for free. Problem was it took a long time. Other than that I very happy with my McLaren triumph. I like it much better than the graco which I had first. I think it handles better and is easier for my kids to get in and out of.

I have a Quest for my 16 months old boy. I bought it when he was 5 months and used it ever since. I love it, it's light, easy to use and I never had any problems with it (and we're not the careful type...). So I would definitively recommend you to go for a Quest.

I've bought a little umbrella to give a better sun protection as I found it's a weak point on the Quest.
