Hello,

Coming to Hong Kong this summer from France and wondering what wines are available, at what price, where, etc. Are there wine buying clubs or any sources apart from the supermarkets?

Dont worry about wine.. you will find loads i gurantee you. You will find them both in the supermarkets, and the Wine Cellar.

Boutique Wines carries interesting choices from New Zealand, Australia, and elsewhere. They say their objective is to bring "specialist premium wines to HK." They deliver. Check out their website at www.boutiquewines.com.hk.

Thanks for the info, everyone. I think we'll be looking to explore non-French wines. Any specific recommendations, Moonbear? (anything in the Australian / New Zealand wines that goes well with the HK climate? )

I think Limestone are great for knocking back during the week but there are much better wines available - of course at a price......

Great NZ and Aussie whites - Cloudy Bay Sav Blanc, Shaw and Smith, evans and tate, I could go on!

tapas bar at the kowloon shang has the biggest selection of new world wines at good prices, ask them who they buy through (its a bar sorry, not a shop)

they also have a wine club by memory.

Cool, but who stocks MadFish white wines in HK? They have a distributor here somewhere but I still haven't seen it around and my supply is running low.
