There's some excellent outlet shops in Prince Edward. I can't remember the street name, maybe Tung Choi.

It's basically the market street close to the petrol station and the aquatic street.

Brilliant smart casual surf wear for both male and female

The Street Vicky refers to is Fa Yuen in Mongkon. Huge range of factory outlet shops - far greater than anything I have found in Wanchai.

Fa Yuen street has all the major brands; Quicksilver, Billabong, Roxy, Shaddy and more. They've also got stuff from River Island, Dorothy Perkins and other high street stores. Basically, the average price for items is between $50 -$100

There is a website for X Game shops who do the surf wear brands, billabong and quicksilver, ripcurl and also roxy girl etc. They have big clearance sales at various sites a couple of times a year and they have up to 80 per cent off... genuine stuff at excellent prices. A local put me on to it. I have been twice and gotten backpacks, hats, shoes, surfwear, winter coats and summer shorts and t-shirts. It is always really crowded but the savings are worth it. They have stores in causeway bay just near the Hong Kong football club and in Wyndham street in central. www.xgamehk.com Great for buying birthday presents for the present cupboard for other lads too. Also might like to try the the NIKE factory outlet in Kowloon bay, shop 1, 1/F Enteprise Square 9 sheung Yuet Road, Kowloon Bay. tel 2707 159 Nr the Kowloon Bay MTR station in a building upstairs. Wasn't a huge shop or selection they day I was there but worth a ring if someone is looking for a specific style of shoe/size.

They have store in Kwun Tong as well but have never been here.

fa yuen street is more concentrated in terms of a quick sweep down and back each side in the stores behind the marekt stalls, but it is all hit or miss in that regard as to what you will find each time and for what price.... if your boys are NOT shoppers I do feel for you. Many of my friends simply go Lands end on line for the basiscs. Johnston Street probably has more larger shops with more choice but is more spread out. Always seems much more difficult to shop for males than females but that seems the case anywhere.

The othe place we have found to be good for smart casual if you have a need is Nautica - there are shops in Time Square and Pacific Place and we went to a big discounted sale in the shopping precinct at Dickinson Warehouse which is the shopping outlet surrounding the airport express station at Kowloon. This was advertised in the South China Morning Post and we did get lots of great chino style trousers and shorts for our 11 year old who I am find increasingly difficult to source clothes for.

I have fashion savvy 18 year olds so no Nautica! looking for Volcom ... Quicksilver the stock at Stanley is pretty old and not much new stuff recently and Kwun Tong is winding down as the government is kicking the whole lot out of Yip Fat Bldg ... so looking for more recent stock..?
