I am new to Hong Kong and I'm looking for recommendations for hairdressers and a nail salon that does acrylic nails.
I'd like hairdresser recommendations for myself (caucasian woman), my children (ages 8 and 11) and my husband (who is fairly picky about his hair).
I'm also looking for a nail salon that doesn't cost an arm and a leg (if that exists in Hong Kong). In the states, I paid US $25 to get my acrylic nails filled (including the tip). I've had my nails done once in Hong Kong and it cost me almost double that (HK $300). I know many things are more expensive here and I may not be able to find a decent nail salon for any less, but I figured it didn't hurt to ask. :-)
I live near Stanley and I'd prefer to find hairdresser(s) and a nail salon near here, but I'm willing to travel to other parts of Hong Kong if necessary.
Thank you in advance for your recommendations.

For nails I suggest NAIL BAR. They have total of 12 outlets around HK but I suggest you go to the Central or Pacific Place shop. Call 2890 7699 for enquiries. It's much cheaper to buy courses of 10 or 20 times - will be close to what you pay back home.
