We have just moved here and my sister is coming with her 2 yr old and I need to think of places to take them! Besides Disneyland are their any fun parks, animal petting zoos or alike for toddlers?

Any ideas appreciated!

Botanical Gardens at Mid-levels for the monkeys, HK Park for the birds, fish & turtles, Peak tram & Peak for the fountain & whatever else is open, Ocean Park has a good kids area as well as the marine life, any beach would be popular with toddlers, Tai Tam reservoir for the paddleboats & to feed the fish, Star Ferry for the Christmas lights, the Science Museum is actually very good fun for kids even toddlers - there's a giant bubble play area, you can see chicks hatching, and lots of other interactive things. Malls for meeting Santa, eg Pacific Place, the giant Christmas tree in Statue Square.

If you would like to see the rural side of HK, head to Sai Kung where you can take a sampan to the beach for the day and then look at all the fish displays along the waterfront before a seafood dinner. Also great if the little one likes trains is Tai Po Train Museum. A Historic Chinese-style train station with real antique trains to go inside, and working models. Closed Tuesdays, free of charge, you can walk there from Tai Wo KCR. Then you could take a taxi from there to the Kadoorie farm for more animals, or the Tai Po Waterfront Park for playing.

Why not come up to our Sedan Chair race and Bazaar on Sunday 13th November - a great day out for the whole family lots to see and for children to do. Race starts at 10am and bazaar after that.

All the funds raised go to Hong Kong Charities (not to the hospital).

For information please call the charity a call on 28496852. How to get there is on our website.

You might also like to join us on the 6th December 6.30pm to 8.30pm for 'Carols by Candle Light'. Our Children's foundation is holding the event to raise money for 5 orphans from China who need treatment due to problems caused by spina bifida (we have a waiting list of 11 children to help).

Choirs singing will be Kennedy School, Peak School, HK Singers, HK Academy and Beacon Hill Shool.

Medart Orchestral will provide orthestral support.

Father Chrismas will be there in his grotto, children can post their letters to santa, we will have festive food and drink and a wishing tree - and who knows it might even snow.

It should be a lovely evening and you are all invited.

For details or if you would like to help out please feel free to give me a call.
