I have seen a diamond ring I really like in one of the top brand name designers, but I would like to get it copied so I am not paying a premium for the name. Does anyone know of a reliable jewellers where they will sell me a good quality diamond and set it to my design?

I would also suggest going to see Rebecca at "Rebeccas Shop" opposite GOD in the Marco Polo shopping centre TST. She is excellent.

Ask for Mr. Bee at Bee's Diamonds. He has been in the diamonds dealing industry for over 35 years and is an expert in the field. He has his office in Central and can be reached at 3529-2089 (www.beesdiamonds.com). He will teach you how to choose the right diamond (the highest GIA quality within your budget) and have his in-house designers design it and set it for you. Since the office's main line of business is diamonds wholesale, they only do individual customers based on recommendations and referrals due to security reason. So call in advance to see if you can make an appointment.
Do spare at least 2 to 3 hours at the office if you do decide to go after work or over the weekends, he will show you his collection and tell you everything you know about diamonds. It's more than he is treating you as a friend rather than a customer. Quite a fun and unique shopping experience.
