Re-newing a bathtub?

I've just rented a flat and the bathtub is rather old. I know in Canada or the states there are people who you can hire to renew / apply a new varnish to bathtubs. Are there such services in HK? Or is there product I can buy to salvage this old bathtub?

Thank you @, I've asked around some places too and everyone told me to just buy a new one. Seems like that's the culture of handling it here. I am hesitant about installing a new bathtub as I am only renting, and my landlord would not pay for a new tub (as it isn't broken or causing any problems).

Ask your landlord - ours did it for us - it was like a 'spray' thing - they did the bathtub and bathroom tiles - looks great!

i usually clip and save articles in the hope that could be useful one day...i remembered that i had an article relating to your q. this one is from the SCMP 2 yrs ago... it's a ceramic surface detailing service for bathroom that would restore things to their original lustre , the company mentioned in the clip was- www.luxcoat.com


i cannot tell if they do a good job or not but at least this is a starting point for you. maybe there are other companies doing the same service. and you can startlooking for ceramic resurfacing services companies. good luck
