Very good place to live!
Well built apartments, excellent club house, pool, etc...There are lots of children and the helpers arrange 'play groups' for them.
Also next to The American Club if you are planning on joining, but with all the facilities it is really not needed.

Hard call that one... DB is very child friendly, and some people love it, and there is a sense of community and easy to meet other mums and tots... but it can be 'isolating' too as it is a ferry away from Central, while Tai Tam is on HK Island and only a taxi from anywhere...
So it is really your preference and what you are used to. DB is more like a 'suburb' and the lifestyle can be really great. But if you prefer the convenience of a city, then Tai Tam might be a better option.
Do you have the luxury of spending a half day in DB, and an hour or so in Tai Tam to compare?

I lived in Pacific View for quite some time and we loved it! Great ammenities and wonderful people. Great playgroups and convenience of markets and stores were great. 20 minutes by taxi into Causeway Bay. We personally liked the view and the restful feeling of not being right in the heart of the city. I'm sure you will enjoy HK - it's a great place to live and full of wonderful people, sights and sounds. Good luck!

Pacific View is really great. Indoor pool in the winter, and restaurant on site set it apart from other apartments in the area (Manhattan). Beautiful views and peaceful environment.
