Mrs Miggins,
I bought the Graco Entertainer from Toys R Us over Christmas (about $700)for my then 6 month old and she loved it. She still loves it today. There are three heights and she's on the middle one. There's a fish, octopus, and a few other items to keep her entertained. I put her in when I have to go to the bathroom, or cook and it's light enough so I tote it around the house so she can see me while she's in it. She squeels with delight everytime I put her in.
As for the 2in1, I don't know much about it other than I was advised against buying one because a lot of homes have hardwood floors in HK and the walker can sometimes get away from the baby as she is pushing it and may end up face flat on the floor. But if you have a carpeted home, this may not be a problem.
Good Luck!

I have twins and 2 different saucers. The Graco Entertainer is definitely the preference of my 2. I have the one that opens up from a saucer to an activity center that they can hang on to and walk along (like a single table as opposed to a circular table around them). As for the 2in1, would recommend buying a used one when your baby is almost walking. They're posted on the Trading Post frequently and you really won't use it that long ... speaking from experience with my 3 year old. Agree with momster about the floor. Use it only on carpet!

My daughter never cared much for her (borrowed) exersaucer, but I'm sure you've tried your little one in it and know that it's worth having.
The only comment I have is that those things are big buggers, and are really only useful for a few months (once they start walking, THAT becomes much more exciting). Most mums I know borrowed one for the time it was useful--a win/win as the person whose tot had outgrown it was glad to get the thing out of the house!

My third baby got one as a gift after she played in one and enjoyed it. But then she got bored with it very quickly, never used it, and I gave it away. The baby we gave it to also got bored with it and it just sat in the bedroom, but when my baby went to their house she always played with it there. I think the thing is that it only has so many activities, and after a while they get bored with it. I'd think it needs to be rotated just like all the other toys (put it away for a few months and then it will be interesting again for a few hours when you get it out). On the other hand, I'm not sure that it's worth the space unless you have a really big house. The sturdy cart / activity centers that babies can hold onto and walk behind as they learn to walk seem to always give a lot of enjoyment, especially the ones where the baby can put their "treasures" in a compartment under the seat. I also had some good luck with some of the new electronic toys that made many different types of music and sounds. But my youngest is now six so I'm sure a lot has changed.
