If you want to keep some good wines inside for a long time, Do not make saving on the wine fridge or you will end up with vinegar !! Only buy reputable brands such as Vintec, Transtherm, Eurocave. The first one is made in Denmark while the others in France.

gmbl, why would cheap cellars turn wine to vinegar? I have one cheapy (in the utility room) and one expensive one (in the dining room). Both keep the wine at the same constant temperature +/- 2 degrees, depending on ambient room temperature. (I check them both with the same thermometer almost every day.) Does the wine just have an emotional aversion to being left in a less beautiful environment?
