Hi, I am new in Singapore, and need help. Do you have any recommendations for:
IPL: I have made an appointment with Beauty Forever, but not sure if anyone has had any experience? It is a little cheaper than London, so not sure.
Manicure/Pedicure: Any good salon recommendation? Do not want to pay top buck, so cheap and cheerful recommendations would be lovely :)
Hair Colour Highlights and Cut: Again, not top buck place, but don't want to end up orange either! So would appreciate any input.

IPL : Try Strip. They have outlets at Holland Village and Wheelock Place.
Mani/Pedi : You can try Fave Nails. Pretty cheap and a decent job. Or you can go Strip. Strip is cheaper and service is all right.
Hair : You can go to Far East Plaza. Places like Supercuts charge reasonably.

Sarah from IPL beauty secrets Far East Shopping Centre, next to Wheelock place. She is very experienced and also does IPL at doctors' clinics in Singapore.Price is very reasonable.

Balzac, Thanks so much for the tip. Have you seen any results - I am a bit worried about scarring.
Freshjive - will check out Fave nails and then strip. A girl can't have too many manicures or pedicures!

Shmb - were you referring to IPL for hair or for skin? Because Strip offers good service for IPL hair removal. Or skin - there are many beauty salons that do it. On the safe side, you can try Dr Joyce Lim clinic, DRX or Sloane. Of the three, DRX is the cheapest. The other two cost about 600 bucks.

Hi Shmb-I like Sarah because she is not calculative about the number of 'shot's given per area.
I think lower leg is about SGD 400. Armpits about SGD 80. I didnt do hair removal only the IPL facial.

Freshjive: Hair not skin. The lady from Beauty forever quoted me for the underarms between SGD 50 - 150 (but I am not sure if that is per session, expensive! or for complete hair free armpit, very cheap) so I am confused.
Which part of the body is the SGD 600 for? How many sessions do they recommend, or is it until all the hair is gone?
Balzac,
Same question for you, is the 400 and 80 respectively for each session or for complete hair removal.
Thanks to both of you for your help.

Sorry, another quick questions - do you have the telephone # for Sarah @ Beauty Secrets?
Please support our advertisers:
600 is for the face. I go to Strip for hair IPL. I have a package there. According to them, a person needs 6 sessions on average to remove the hair semi permanently.

And is that for 6 sessions only or until all the hair is gone?
Please support our advertisers:
The package is slightly over a thousand sing. It is for 6 sessions only.

HI Shmdb- sorry but you wouldn't get SGD80 for whole course till all is gone.
I've asked Sarah about packages. But the only packages she does is for facial. Normal IPL and Advanced IPL.
For armpits, it's 80 bucks per session. No packages because sometimes some people need more, some need less.
I'm not sure if I should post her number here but if you like I will send you her number on the message panel (go to top left hand corner and click on control panel to check you email.)
