and the monthly membership is $180. i get this as with the hourly rate you can only start on the hour. so if you arrive at 5.15 you have to leave at 6 even though you paid for an hour. its also good as if you don't think you will use the gym much the next month you can just pay by the hour when you 1 month pass expires. also use TKO as its much closer to my place than any of the big name gyms

Seasons at Citibank plaza. I think it's around HKD500 a month and has a small indoor pool too.

All, I wanted to piggy back on this conversation. In the states I was a member of a small boutique gym that you could purchase a locker on a monthly basis. The benefit of this in HK is being able to leave a few suits and showering items in a locker, run to the gym in the mornings, shower, then walk to work. I am hoping to find something like this in Central near exhange square. Any thoughts? PURE is nice but is very LA Fitness (for those of you from the states). I dont need a gym with glitz and glamore. I am there to work out, shower, and go to work....or home in the evenings.

Fitness First is perhaps more your style then. Not quite boutique gym but not nearly as glitzy as Pure.

There is one in Exchange Square. http://www.fitnessfirst.com.hk/hk/clubinfo/main.asp
