Vietnamese artwork

I've trudged along the whole stretch of Queen's road trying to find some bright, colorful Vietnamese paintings. I've seen a few but they looked mass-produced (same copies in the next stores..).

Anyone know where else to look?

Any Chinese or Oriental theme is ok too-- but prefer funky, "young" and colorful; doesn't matter if they're in ink, watercolor, acrylic or pastels.

You can get in touch with Ahn Vu who supplies many of the galleries in HK http://www.vietnamartist.com/public/index.php

I would also be interested in the works of new artists on the block. Any cafes around who feature them?

Not keen on spending big bucks yet..

Go to Dafen about 15 minutes by Taxi outside Shenzhen. There is an entire small city doing paintings. They have lots of excellent copies of every genre of painting you can imagine as well as lots of excellent orginal artwork. I bought a large copy of a colourful modern Vietnamese painting and it cost me Yuan 300! Email me for more information.
