Tax on housing allowance

I have a housing allowance of 10K HKD per month . Will I be taxed for that money? or how does that work??

Big topic - depends on many things, including whether your other salary is > or < HK$100,000.



Either look at the following (probably Examples 6 or 7), or call the tax office:

I believe the gov't will add 10% to your base if it is declared that your employer provides housing.

ok thanks. I have my basic salary + 10K in housing which they pay directly to the landlord. I never see the money but its mentioned on my assestment from the company as housing allowance!
