Being romantic in Hong Kong

I am still new in town, she knows all around…

…the thing is, is much harder to impress if she is saying where to go all the time…and it’s also widen known that sometimes [or should I say always?] they like you to make the decision…


So…let’s put things like this:

Being a women where would you like to be taken for a romantic evening/day in HK?

Suggestions of restaurants are most appreciated, but I really wanted to know about special places, with nice views…where you can definitely make the difference…


Believe me…she deserves it!

Chocolux on Peel Street..dessert buffet at the Grand Hyatt..drinks @ Cococabana on deep water bay..Nicholinis @ Conrad.. Isola.. Spoon (get the window seat).. drinks at the Fringe club roof.. many others!!


Only if there are more men like you in HK (or in this world, rather) who are willing to try hard to impress the gf's!

I have heard of one story where the couple camped out on a beach in Sai kung - Tai Long hai I think, they were happily camping when a helicopter arrived, set up a table abd chairs etc and served dinner - on the beach! (Witnessed by my thenimpressionable 14 yr old - who thought it was THE most romantic thing ever and expects whoever she dates to do the same thing now).


We had dinner at Stanley the other night at Murray House- Wildfire, on the 3rd floor balcony overlooking Stanley - it was beautiful night with a huge full moon.


There is a place in Sai kung called the Sai who run a restaurant boat off Sai Kung called the Tanka, supposed to be very nice.

Massage or treatments for two at the Four Seasons in a private spa suite. There is a marble jacuzzi for two, daybed, Flat-screen TV and private bar. Ask for the suite with the view over the harbor. FABULOUS!


But don't forget how romantic a surprise candle-light dinner with soft music, champagne and roses can be even at home.

Ladies [if I am not mistaken only ladies replied, but that was the idea from the beginning] I really appreciate your help…


Green - Sky Lounge seems great, as well as the Italian restaurant

Chiki – It could be…but I guess she would have to find out by herself…but with this nickname, no way it will happen…

Strawberry Shortcake [sweet name by the way] – I am sure there are lots like me willing to do the same…

Moonriver – seems an amazing idea…I will start my research…

Dimac4 – that one, I will remember for the wending proposal…ehheeh [I really hope someone will do the same to you]…

Moonbear111 – sounds really relaxing…and I guess she would love it…always complaining how stressed she is from work...

Portland St – seems a great idea, never heard about…but already went to their website…


This couldn’t be a more jealous thing to do…because in the end knowing she is happy only makes me happier…wish me luck…
