Hi All ... As you know PCCW subcribers wont be able to watch World Cup unless they go to pubs or otherwise .... Does anyone know how to subscribe to World Cup via "special" channels or via the internet?

If you have a relative overseas with a cable connection you could try a sling box www.slingmedia.com.


It lets you watch anything on the cable system its connected to.....

I know about this sling box ...... well dont know anybody who bought this box and willing to share their channel ....


I guess slingmedia shld come up with a community that is willing to rent out channels ......then again, it will violate broadcasting rules .....

What about all the TV channels you can receive over the internet? Has any experience with these and do they work

Managed to get CCTV channels thru internet but they will probably slow down when demand increases!


PM me and I'll try to send the files that you need to watch online, they are EXE. so may be blocked by your email account. Chinese only I'm afraid but there is a English menu and I managed it w/o any skills in Chinese.
