Try Annie of More Than Skin Urban Spa 28155590 and she has done a good job for my husband. The salon environment and service are excellent.

Well, this is a very old thread, but if anyone is interested, call Nigar or Sarah at Spa Beaute Par Zai. Excellent work, decent prices. Tell them Rachael sent you!

I would like to hear from anyone who has had this done. Is it painful? Does it scab and look terrible for a while afterwards? How many times did it have to be done?

It is a little bit painful, of course this is pretty personal, some people have a high threshold of pain and others a low one. It hurts more in certain places, like right under your nose, or right around your lips. For a woman, it shouldn't look terrible afterwards, but men have stronger hairs and need higher currents. There shouldn't be any scabbing at all. You might get a small bruise, but most likely not. A post-menapausal woman might need to have it done four or five times, probably only about 15 minutes at a time or less--the problem is not that it doesn't kill the hair if done properly, but that other hairs lie dormant and pop out when they feel like it, generally the night of the big date.

Try Dorothy at the Elemis Day Spa on D'Aguilar Street. She has seen a couple of people I know and they are very happy with her service.
