Am considering buying a live aboard Junk, berthed at the Gold Coast. Have stayed on a friends Junk for a week an enjoyed it. Think I understand all the financials, such as mooring, debenture, maintenence etc.
Anyone doinh this or have experience they can share?

Interesting; i would like to try/consider living on a boat as well. My budget is a bit low though so wonder if i could manage on a Djunk (as i could not afford a nice flashy vessel).

Hi, We used to live at the Gold Coast and although we didn't live on a boat, we have a number of friends who did (moved to apartments when they had kids) or still do. Some lived on junks and some regular boats. All of them seemed very happy with the lifestyle. I would suggest going to the Gold Coast, taking a walk along the piers and chatting to the guys who actually live there. I have no doubt that anyone would be more than happy to help with all your questions. There are quite a few Australians out there. Good luck!
