Question for the wine experts...

As 2005 was excellent year for Bordeaux wine I would like to renew my stock.

Are you familiar with anyone in HK that is importing young wine (buy cheap now and store in my cellar for 10-12 years)?

Use to do it in Europe every year.

There is a company called Australian Wine Index who buy wines from high end vineyards but only from Australia and will store it for you.

Thanks but this is not what i'm looking for.

I just like to buy 12-20 bottles and store in my cave.

Thank you very much for putting my information here I am truly flattered.

First of all 2005 is really an exceptional vintage and I have had the pleasure of tasting these from the barrel in Bordeaux and had samples sent to Hong Kong to re-taste.

This year the Chateaux know they have something special, normally 80% of the crop will be released as en-primeur, however this year the chateaux have held back lots of stocks and in some cases only 30% made it to the market.

The prices have already risen and some stock are near impossible to buy due to demand.

All I can say if you are going to buy wines this way make sure you know what you are getting into.

If you need any advice please feel free to drop me a line.

Kind regards,

Mark.

Our shop is located in the Lee Gardens. I work form the office so please tell me when you will be there and I can go through everything for you.

2004 is also en-primeur as well and there are some bargains to be had. A diffrent style to 2005 but the Chateaux that worked the vineyards produced fantastic wines, Lafite, Latour and Margaux are all very good. You can get some bargain 3rd and 5th growths as well.

Please let me know and it will give me an excuse to open a wine or 2!!!

Look forward to seeing you.

Dear Ada,

1995 Chardonnay from China? What position are you thinking of? I would suggest you buy a bottle and taste it, if it is still drinking buy more. Wouldn't suggest lying down any Chardonnay of that age even if it is La Montrachet.

Enjoy the wine.
