ilovejuls, i think that is a super idea - sorry i don't know any artist personally where you are (i am in manila, where we have many talented artists) but i am sure you will have no problem finding someone in HK. however, i'll ask a friend who represents local and regional artists for a recommendation, and i'll PM you if i get a name or two. meantime, surely there is a school of fine arts somewhere in HK you could call?

Why dont you try calling the YWCA, they do all sorts of classes, they used to do a nude portrait class. If not then maybe the art dept at the Uni, bet they always need models or can recommend someone.

Try Sze of Sze Tattoo. I know she had an exhibition at the Fringe Gallery recently with female nude figures so she might be able and willing to do it.

You would better off hiring a photographer....
1. More choices as far as poses and expressions
2. Less time sitting in the buff (if that is in an issue)
3. More control over the image after that fact in Photoshop - to aid in artistic license (since we all have perfect figures)
A good photographer can do all that for you and output into a painterly style and even print on canvas.

i am an artist by profession. ( took up fine arts and everything) if you still need this done, you can send me a message. I appreciate that you still prefer a sketch over photos and cg retouched photos.

My old boss used to have a naked photo of his wife on his desk. It was a silhouette and actually looked great. I left nothing to the imagination especially as we all knew her quite well, but as she was quite attractive it was fine. Have you thought where hubby may want to display it?

I have a friend in HK who is also an artist. He has also had exhibitions here. If you are interested in a portrait of yourself or just a nude in general he would be great. I could pass on his web site address if you were interested so you caould see what he does.
