Can anyone tell me what milk I should be using for my 20 month old. We'll be taking a 4 day trip to Thailand and am not sure what I should be giving him for milk? Right now he drinks fresh milk 2-3x a day. Should I bring UHT milk, powder OR get fresh milk there?

Mannings sells powdered milk in very small tins. I tried taking packs of UHT milk with me on holiday and found that they were actually heavier than a small tin of powdered milk.

I'm quite sure that "fresh" milk in Thailand is UHT milk, it least it is every time I order it. Surprisingly (because it tastes different) our daughter drinks the UHT form just fine we travel. If we're going somewhere where I'm not sure about the local milk quality, I'll bring along the small packs of australian UHT milk (Pura) and slide them into the hotel minifridge.
Mine doesn't drink powdered milk, so that's not an option for us, might be for you though.

If you toddler drinks well with straws and boxed drinks.... I would just bring Paul's milk. (Normal flavor and chocolate available).
Otherwise, I would bring powder milk just to be safe. In Thailand... not sure where you are going, not sure about the milk quality.... and sometimes, the heat is an issue too about keeping the milk "fresh". Wouldn't want to cause the little on diarrhea with "bad" milk.....

I lived in Bangkok in the last 2years. You can get all kind of milk powder brands easily in the supermarket (TOPS and Villa). Meiji freshmilk is plenty on the shelf.
