Silk Duvets?

I wonder if anyone has heard of such a thing as a silk duvet. My father (back home in Germany) has a friend who apparently bought one in China. They´re supposed to be made of several layers of silk and suitable to use all the year round. So does anyone know if such a thing exists? -Or has dad got it all wrong.

Your dad is right.

You can purchase them at any Chinese Department Store.


Yue Wah usually has them. You can also check out Chinese Emporium Store.

your silk duvet will be in the bed/linen section.

ask a chinese friend to write the words in chinese for you because many of the sales people do not speak english.

you will probably find the silk duvet inside a big clear plastic bag.

Silk Duvees have been widely used for at least 50 years (guess-timate). Not unaffordable, and definitely cheaper and better value for money than the western duvees.

I paid RMB $350 for a double sized one from Shanghai - the BEST quality. The difference you pay in YueWah is the rental and overhead. Not implying to fly to SH to buy one :-P
