I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A JU MING 'TAI CHI'TYPE SCULPTURE MADE IN BRONZE OR WOOD. CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND SOMEWHERE THAT I CAN ORDER ONE PLEASE? DO THEY DO THAT SORT OF THING AT DAFEN ARTISTS VILLAGE IN SHENZHEN?

Or take a friend along, and some photos, and go on up there to wander around and ask. (Bus #106, RMB3, from Lo Wu City outdoor bus terminal) The more innovative places at Da Fen are behind and a bit away from that one main building. It's an enjoyable day trip.

Has anyone used an online site? Looking to get a Warhol for my son! Is it a nightmare to go all the way there? How much would an agent add?

The framer/ gallery at the Kennedy Road end of Queens Road East, just down from the Church, has several Warhol-like Mao paintings in different colours...about $250 asking price. Much cheaper at Dafen, but you can save yourself the trip, and the hassle of getting them home. dafen is a fun day trip, though, and easy if you take a taxi from the ShangriLa in Lo Wu. They can give you a "PLEASE TAKE ME TO...." card with the ShangriLa address on it, to give to the taxi driver in Dafen for your return trip. The card also has Dafen as one of the destination options on the back....so hang onto it and use it to get there next trip.
