My baby is 9months old and I have introduced eggs with no problems. I have been giving one hard boiled yolk with breakfast every day but it just dawned on me that adults shouldnt eat too many eggs since they are high in colesterol - is this the case for babies too?
How many is ok for baby to have per week?

varying reports on this.
but babies need fats. (cholesterols.) It is important for brain development. I give around 4 yolks only a week - with my first and now my second.

I give 3 x yolks per week - M-W-F.
To be honest, I would do every other day, but that is just too complicated :)

indeed babies and adults are different, they need fats, dont be afraid to give them every other days...

It's Ok to give egg yolk to babies aged under 1 year old. There is no particular recommendation on the intake of egg yolk for baby or children at the moment. It is not neccessary to give egg yolk daily, other protein rich foods include fish, pork, beef and chicken.
Remember not to give egg white to babies until 1 year old.

My baby is nearly seven months old. My pediatrician told me that we can give her the yolk from about 7 months. But I've also heard that babies shouldn't have any eggs until they're one year old. Can anyone clsrify this?

I give mine eggs 2 to 3 times a week. Always hard boiled or srambled (really well) and he's
14 months.

XOX -
egg allergies generally are localized around the WHITES of the eggs - which is why docs say give yolk and not whites. (hard boil them and then just pop the yolk.) The yolk is actually more rich in nutrition anyways, so it's good for the baby.
My daughter has eggs at least 3 or 4 times a week - sometimes I make her these little "veggie" fritatta time things - she loves them. She's 14 months as well.

Hi, I'm about to introduce egg yolks to my 9 month old and my question is: How do you moms serve the yolks? Do you mash them into baby's purees? Or do you serve them separately? Thanks!

My daughter is 21 months old and loves eggs. I have always been cautious not to give too many. If she is not well or just doesnt want to eat the same dinner as us, I will give her a fried egg, yolk broken, not runny. Usually it is for breakfast, is 3 or 4 times a week ok?

I always just boiled the egg and mixed it into veggie puree. It always had a very rich texture and flavor - my daughter loved it - sort of a yummy omelet but just veggie form.

Mmm, egg-yolk french toast -- yummy! Mashed into purees sounds sensible and delicious. Thanks!
