When do you start carrying baby in Baby Bjorn type carrier? It says it can be used for babies over 3kg. My baby weighs more than 3kg when he's born. Now at more than 2 months, I wondered if it's appropriate and with enoug support to carry him around even if his neck and spine is not yet so developed. Any advice?

The Bjorn has two ways to carry baby - you can have baby facing you with the extra neck support 'up' this should be fine.
When baby has full neck support, you can have baby facing out and fold that bit down.
They have some instructional videos on their website which are quite handy the first time. I practiced getting a large stuffed bear in and out before I tried with the baby :)
If you still are not comfortable with that, you could try a sling instead.

Hi Nicher,
It's fine to use the baby bjorn for your baby with him facing you, and like CRI said you can have him facing out when he has full neck support. I used the BB for my daughter when she was 6 weeks old and it was fine.
Speaking of sling - I have 2 different types but so far I still can't really master it - guess I need more practice (BB is so much easier!). ^_^

HI Chrispy - I LOVE slings... have you tried watching the video on MayaWrap or some of the other sling sites? Even if you don't have that exact sling the videos are good.
Let me know if you want more info...

Thanks Chrispy and crj. I actually have a Baby Bjorn already coz hubby can also use it (can't picture hubby using a sling). I'm sure I'll need more practice at home before we carry him out.
