Hi

I like to use white big bath towels. I've tried the ones from Ikea but the quality is not that good...too rough. But I'm now using the ones from TASTE (supermarket, located in Kowloon Tong or Tung Chung) They cost about HK$90 each. Those are quite good.

Look at this thread and this topic is discussed in detail:

The suggested shop from that is:

"

Towel Shop

Room 2, 1/F, Kelly House

6-14 Gresson Street

Wanchai

2865-6378

Gresson Street is the cross street between Queen's Road East and Johnston or Wanchai Road. It's sort of in the middle of the stretch between Hopewell Centre and Pacific Place. Do check the map.

They sell cheap towels including hotel-type white fluffy towels. "

Basement of Wing On dept store in Sheung Wan has several different brands / price levels. We buy our white ones there. Unless you have several tumble dryers or somewhere to line-dry the towels in clean air (!), think twice about buying the really thick ones that look so enticing in the shops.

Hi guys. I know this is an old thread, but can you tell me if this is an acutal shop, cause I went down that street and found Kelly House but couldn't get in. I saw a market stall right next to the entrance but I didn't think it was the same thing. Can someone please explain.

Thanks :o)

Yes. It's primarily a residential building but people are going in and out of there all the time. Just wait for someone else to use the main door. The security guard will not stop you. The entrance to the building has just been renovated and looks newer than the rest of the area. You were in the right place.

No need to wait for somebody else to enter/leave. Just ring the bell and she will buzz you in.
