O.K. I ,ll try and keep this short .

I was involved in an " incident " in a certain supermarket in an unnamed hotel( to comply with forums regulations ) which resulted in Concussion and post -concussion symptoms . I,ve had to take unpaid leave and I have medical certificates to verify my condition . They,ve accepted the incident was due to their negligence and I,ve been invited by their manager to meet with their legal rep . Before meeting with their legal council I,d appreciate some legal advice on compensation issues .

For example , can I claim only for hospital fees incurred and salary lost or can I also claim some compo as this incident was due to their negligence : since the date of the incident I have suffered many traumatic effects including stress ; the neurologist of a very prestigious hospital has adviced me that these symptoms may take some 6 months to resolve .

As I can NOT give a firm date of my return to back to work I may lose my position or a significant cut in my salary

SO can someone PLEASE give me some ADVICE on the TAIWAN LEGAL INFO relevant to thisd case . I CANNOT speak CHINESE so most of the pro bono legal services available cannot help me .

I am SURE there is a lawyer in Taiwan who speaks english. YOU NEED local LEGAL ADVICE, NOT DODGY COMMENTS OFF A WEB FORUM (mine included). If they have already admitted negligence (by the way, was it in writing? verbally? Did you get a tape recording?), then they will probably be liable for your legal expenses, SO GET A LAWYER! ESPECIALLY SINCE YOU CAN'T SPEAK THE LANGUAGE!
