Hi,Do you know of any helpful hints for losing weight? I'm trying to eat well and I am exercising (although not as much as I could), but I can't seem to lose the weight.

This is what I am doing for the last 2mths and had taken about 5lbs off.

1. Drink 1 big glass of water, 20-30 mins brisk walk/jogging in the morning for 5x per wk.

2. Breakfast - Oatmeal, fruits and tea

OR Yogurt, fruits and tea

3. Light lunch and dinner with 200 gms steamed veg.

4. Reduce fat , sugar and starch intake.

5. 3L of water per day.

instead of focusing on the number on the bathroom scale, how are you feeling?


are you losing weight for health or for aesthetic values?


are you happy with the lifestyle modifications you've made?


if not, what are the other things you can do to gain some more positive perspectives? in another words, what are the things you can do that make make you happy.


are you enjoying the food & the exercise? if yes, good, keep going. if not, find alternatives.


also, do you have a realistic and attainable goal? it's really important that you have set your mind on one and it HAS to be realistic and attainable.


if you have been exercising, your body weight can stay the same because it's highly likely that you've gained some muscle mass and lost some fat tissues.


btw, please also realize that, as women, our body weight do fluctuate throughout our cycle.

Hi notmeok. I have always been a chubby girl. plus due to Thyroid gland disfunctional, i have to medication and have been for over 6 years now. The side affects are getting fatter. which now i am around 145lbs. I always wanted to loss weight, but as i take the medication i really can't do much. If i go off the medication i get sick.


Then, I met a friend, he introduce me to his friend and she's a nutrientist. She helped me alot. She give me advice on things i sould/shouldn't eat. Plus i started to take health food and this really helped me. I took it for 1 wk and started to see results. I am taking it now and can see the difference. my family and friends can too. I couldn't believe it worked in 1 week. i have lost around 4 lbs in the 1st wk. i'm very sure i can go back to 110lbs in a short period of time. But you have to listen to the nutrientist, must follow the rules, otherwise you beeter off exercising. But i took the faster and healther way to do it. Hi, Bettinayan, I also have low thyroid, which makes you gain weight, but the doctor just suggested I take some kelp. It's not really helping too much. It sounds like you have a great plan and I think a lot of us would really appreciate it if you'd share some more info. with us. We all need help as our metabolism slows down!My 2 problem habits are that I'm prone to snacking, I forget to eat for long periods and when I do eat, I'm starving, so I overeat. Also, I'm not in a good habit of exercising, so if I don't exercise, I can't sleep well, then I am too tired to exercise, etc. Bss, you offered some great ideas. Thank you. I'm trying to write down what I'm eating too, which is tough, but helpful.Any others ideas would be gratefully accepted.

Those of you with thyroid problems are probably being prescribed a synthetic thyroid medication which more often than not does not work. Ask your Doctor to prescribe the natural thyroid which is extracted from the neck of the pig.


This natural medication along with a proper diet and exercise will work wonders for you. Makes you feel and look better.
