I need to find a backpack for travelling in thailand for 3 months.. Does anyone have an idea where I can find such? Hiking shop or something...?

Try Chamonix Mountaineer Shop, or Pro-Trek or any of the other climbing/hiking shops. (google for addresses)

There are a few shops at the far end of Stanley Market that sell them. They have quite reasonable selection.

Shop n°3 in Stanley Market (it's quite hidden at the end of a small lane). Great selection / good prices, esp. if you want to buy a day pack with a "net" to avoid sweating from the back

ProTrek has some great ones and several stores. www.protrek.com.hk . Vaude brand have the mesh on the back which ventilates nicely.


The Stanley Market ones are very low end. I would not recommend them for 3 months of backpacking.
