Pretty new to Hong Kong and just had a funny experience with a chinese GP who could not refer to the correct anatomical names of 'girl bits' ... ridiculous. SO Looking for a good GP who listens and makes you feel comfortable - anywhere on the island. Have kids and about to expand the family so will be needing a GP more than ever! I know this has been discussed in many forums but I would really appreciate more current views.

Dr. Lauren Bramley, she's in Pacific House: absolutely wonderful.
Dr. Lucy Lord also has a practice with several GPs, some of whom are female and Western.

pinolino, I mean "a talented doctor, excels in the medical field.. by "makes you feel comfortable", I meant feeling at ease to go through the details of your medical circumstances. ..

Easy tiger ;-) I can highly recommend Dr Susan Jamieson in Central. I HATE going to Doctors but she really puts you at ease. I've also seen Dr Henderson at the same practice and he's really nice too.

I recommend Dr. Sophia Keneally in Repulse Bay (Tel. 2812 2677). She works out of the same practice as Dr. Tanpa Thondup, an outstanding paediatrician. In their Central clinic (out of which Dr. Thondup also works), Dr. Ghosh is an excellent Obstetrician if you want the whole package (they are in the Bank of America Building, Tel. 2877 3118). www.veritas-medical.com

Dr Lauren Bramley - as mentioned by someone else. Canadian, makes you feel like you're the only person in the world when you consult with her, kind, cheerful, easy to talk to etc. etc. Great doctor!
