Gambling cruises?

I think getting a room at one of the casinos in Macao this week is pretty much impossible. What can people tell me about the gambling cruises out of HK? I've only recently heard about them...how much are they, what games do they have, and will you get tossed overboard if you win big?

Years back, I had taken the Star Cruise for a short vacation. They have several fleets of cruising ships. Apart from the usual entertainment, the casino was open to the adults once the ship entered international water. Depending on the package itinerary(#days, ship type, cabin type) the cost will vary.

You will need to contact the agent for their various cruise pkgs, especially whether casino is included, as diff ships are equiped differently for the casino games. The StarVirgo have a big deck for casino facilities.

I do not think that they will risk their reputation for any foul play, as they are in this cruising biz for a long time and also part of the Genting Group. Maybe, others will be able to give you more feedback.

Thanks, dss. From what I hear, there are 'gambling cruises' offered by several different companies out of HK. They sail out in the evening and do circles in International water while the passengers gamble, then return to HK in the morning. Have you heard anything about these?

I think it is avail in Star Cruise line but you need to call agent as "casino" avail is not listed due to legal reasons.

Some folks called it " trip to Nowhere"

There are gambling "cruises" going out from TST star ferry every night.

All you need is your passport and a minimum of $5000. You get whisked off to a ship further out in the harbour, you're fed and watered all night, then returned to TST in the morning.

I haven't been on one myself,(I'm not into gambling other than the Mark 6) but have heard that they're ok.

You don't have to pay $5000, apparently that's just to show that you have money to gamble.
